All that JAZZ....
gives you the right to unwind!
April 27th to 29th and May 4th to 6th may be just two ordinary weekends to one, but to New orleans, it marks a truly enjoyable weekend that everybody talks about - The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage fest. Featuring over 100s and 100s of bands, scrumptious food, unique handicrafts; it was an eye opener. Couple of artists that I managed to "catch" -- Ludacris, Norah Jones, Brad Paisley, Jill Scott and Bonnie Raitt. I was lucky to get free tickets! =) it's an event not to be missed if one is in NOLA ( New Orleans, LA ) around that time! I definitely got a tan - rather burnt. No complains though, afterall, one begins to miss the sun after winter.
Since we're talking about festivals (if you haven't realised already, NOLA is filled with festivals), the french quarter festival was held just about 2 to 3 weekends prior to the Jazz fest. It's much smaller in terms of size compared to the jazz fest but the fest itself was still memorable.
